The TMBFonts were created by me, Daniel S Dunnam. However, when I created them, there was but one font called TMBFont. It had the lettering from the Misc. T album art and a couple of (I think really like 8) dingbat characters of various TMBG oriented things (the snowman from TMBG, and the A18 logos were among them).

Over time I added more and more TMBG oriented dingbats to the point that I ran out of free spaces in the font. At that time I was forced to break it into two separate fonts, one for the Type Characters and one for the Dingbats

So, the first font is still called "TMBFont" and is based on the Misc. T album art (no dings). The second is called "TMBDingbats" and is a collection of dingbats based on basically all things giant. The character font has been accurately kerned and all that good font such not.

I offer both a post script and a true type version of the fonts for both mac and pc.I HIGHLY recommend the post script. Visit my Post Script vs. True Type page for an explanation of why.

NEW STUFF:
To see samples of every character and what to type to make it come up, look at this guide to all dingbats giant!

I try to update the dingbats font every once and a while, like when TMBG offers me some new material, but seeing as how there hasn't been any new album art in years, the font has gone for a long time with no new dings being added. The good news is that with the release of Mink Car, I'll have some new fodder and will likely add to it at that time. So check back in September and see if there is FINALLY a new version of the dings. Also, I recently went through the old character font and made changes to some things to make it work better, so you may want to Re: download it.

There are some other fonts that other people have made. Brian Powers made a font of Severe Tire Damage, and a font based on the John Henry lettering as well. And John Martz also made a font based on the John Henry album art. All of these fonts were really well done, and you can download 2 of them from here. (if you are Brian Powers or John Martz and don't want me allowing your fonts to be downloaded let me know, and I'll stop immediately.)

When I started my site, I've offered my fonts only to those willing to actively pursue them. First it was you had to email me and tell me how big a fan you were, then after about a year and a half I switched to a really long form and that seemed to invaded peoples privacy for about a year and a half. Then I made you go thru a few separate pages of crap for a few years, and now after 5 years of giving people a hard time, I now am just letting anybody (fan or non) download the fonts. Hell, I even let fontparty.com put them on their site for public downloading. Talk about a 180!

---

Have fun with the fonts, and if you use them for anything you're proud of, please email me and let me see too! I'm always interested in what people have done with the fonts. I am particularly interested in what cute girls did with it, so if you're a cute girl and you used my font for something cool, then you should feel a specific obligation to email me and let me see your work. But even if you're a guy go ahead and email me. I promise to at least pretend that I care.
